Black Desert Makes Character Available Online Free

Black Desert Online, an upcoming game slated for release in March 2016, has been in development for a while. The beta version has been made available to some players, and one of the things many people comment on the well-done characters with intricate detail offered to their physical makeup. Details such as hair shape or style, iris shape, eye color, and more are just a few of the characteristics that make up these character traits you can choose. However, due to closed beta access, Black Desert Online and its full range of character development tools haven’t been available to the public until recently. The character creation engine was just released and announced via the company’s Twitter.

Black Desert Online has been in development by creators Pearl Abyss since 2010, and has been eagerly awaited by the gaming community. The tool will allow any player to create his or her character prior to the game’s launch. Once you have completed the character, you can save their unique creation file, and import it into the game. You may also share it with friends, and the company promises upcoming competitions for original character design.

The following is a list of traits you can use in the Black Desert Online Character Creator. This list is not complete and may change with the game’s release:

Class: Choose from Wizard, Witch, Valkyrie, Tamer, Sorceress, Ranger, Warrior, or Berserker (some outlets report Giant, Archer and Blader will come later)

Hair: Shape, length, color, style, thickness

Body: Width, height, limb thickness and length

Eyes: Color, size, iris

Face: Shape, texture (wrinkles, etc), feature sizes

Black Desert Online is described by its developers as “a world of seamless live interaction.” Set in a high-fantasy environment, the game is about the conflict between two rival nations, known as the Republic of Calpheon and the Kingdom of Valencia, and is action-based. Features in gameplay include parkour, weather systems that will affect gameplay, day-to-night cycles, combat systems with dodging, blocking and more, plus mounted combat. The hope is that the game is a fully-realized immersive sandbox-style MMPORG.

The next beta period for Black Desert Online is scheduled for February 18, which means you won’t have to wait long to import your character into the game, and see how they look during gameplay. Players are able to apply for registration now.

Black Desert Online is currently available for pre-order in Europe and North America. Three packages are available, although only Conquerer’s Package is available for pre-order at $99.99. Each package comes with its own list of extra content including guest passes, skill resets, unknown dye boxes, housing decor coupons, appearance change coupons, horse whistles and more. The packages also offer Family Name titles, additional character slots, exclusive weapon skins and more.

Those who pre-ordered the Explorer’s or Conqueror’s package need not register and will be automatically granted access to the beta.

Played the beta and I like the character creation tool but still trying to make my up over whether I want to get into the full game.

I read the classes are gender-locked, which can be lame, because if I want my character to be bad- ass, she’s going to be a bad-ass!

I’ve seen some amazing character designs with this – like full-on replicas of celebrities.
