Game Updates with BioShock, Star Wars and More

The month of June brought a lot of hot news in the game industry, and we decided to feature some of the big updates and releases that were trending this week. From DLC to new game packs, here’s what you can expect from some of your favorite games.

Bioshock Bundle Coming

The first Bioshock title was released nine years ago, and the creative minds behind the game are bringing us a brand-new super bundle of remastered Bioshock titles on September 13, 2016 for Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC in the United States, and September 15 in Australia, and September 16 internationally. The bundle, BioShock: The Collection, will feature all of the Bioshock titles completely remastered and better than ever. BioShock, BioShock 2, and BioShock Infinite will be sold together for the first time, and the package will also include single-player DLC and the Director’s Commentary. The BioShock package is $59.99. One note: Infinite will not be remastered because it already meets premium requirements.

Rock Band Updates with New Expansion, Rivals

A new Rock Band title is coming your way.  The new update, Rock Band Rivals was announced at E3 2016 and will be a $30 expansion. Harmonix, Rock Band’s studio, is mum on the exact details but says “We’re going to be bringing you brand new features that have never been seen in Rock Band before. These are really big, new modes to the game, and players of all difficulties and play styles will be able to enjoy what we’re cooking up for you.” Harmonix also debuted their new Rock Band gear, including a foldable Fender Jaguar controller. Gamers can purchase the controller seperately or as part of a bundle of Rock Band 4, Rival, the Jaguar and a drum kit for a price of $199.99.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III

Call of Duty: Black Ops III – Descent will be the newest DLC pack for Call of Duty, and arrives on July 12. The pack will be full of two surprising things: zombies and dragons. The mission “Gorod Krovi” is part of the Zombies saga, and takes place in an alternate-history version of the Soviet Union in the 1940’s. Descent also features four new maps for multiplayer, including Empire, a new take on the popular map “Raid.”

Star Wars: Battlefront

Star Wars: Battlefront continues with its DLC updates, with the newest, Bespin, arriving this month. Season pass holders already have access to the update, but other players will have to wait until July 4th to get their hands on the DLC. You can expect a new Rebel skin, 5 new maps, new StarCards, and a new mode, Sabotage. News about the Star Wars: Battlefront Death Star update is expected soon as well.

New Game Mods for Left 4 Dead

If you want to play Left 4 Dead but are tired of the grafitti in the game, a new mod will fix tht. The game mod replaces the graffiti with the weird and strange tweets of celeb Jaden Smith who penned such classic tweets as “How can mirrors be real? Our eyes aren’t real.”
